This wedding has had me starry eyed for weeks. Jaymi and Andrew got married in a small, beautiful and intimate wedding right in her parents backyard! So much hard work and personal items were included (Jaymi and her family made EVERY single piece of furniture and decor themselves!) that every bit of it just represented them and their love story completely. It was relaxed, personal, sweet and so full of love, I was in tears several times and drove home with my head in the clouds when it was over.
I asked Jaymi to describe her special day a bit for you all, and here is what she said:
"From the start, we have done it our way and we felt our wedding should be no different. It seemed only fitting that the big day take place on my parents property, personal acreage reminiscent of a Bronte novel. We spent our Sundays in the thrift stores collecting the mismatched china, unique table accessories and vintage books we gifted our guests. Those Sundays not only brought us closer, but made us feel more connected to our guests and coming day. Being Torontonians, we felt the food should be just as tasty and accessible as it is in our own neighbourhood. The Localista Food Truck kept the main menu local, focusing on fresh, homegrown produce and savory home style flavors. With no set seating plan and the truck style service, it truly felt as if everyone was where they should be. We truly felt our wedding was a genuine reflection of our personalities. We promised forever under the willow tree that our children will one day play under and in bare feet danced on the ground that will remain in our family for generations to come. To say it was what we dreamed of is an understatement as it was a night of enchantment that will be remembered forever."
